Suburban Truck Driver Training Schools’ 160-hour program is designed for the student to obtain the necessary skills to pursue a career in the transportation industry as an over-the-road, regional, dedicated, or local driver.

CLASSROOM

Preparation in getting your TIP (CDL A permit) Expect reading through the Michigan CDL Manual, practice quizzes, tests, instructional videos, mapping, logging, safety procedures, and hands on introduction to the truck.

SKILLS TRAINING

Coupling and uncoupling training as well as skills training. Some maneuvers you will be learning are straight-line backing, offset backing, and 90 degree backing.

ROAD TRAINING

You will learn to shift proficiently while traveling local roads, city streets and nearby highways. The student will learn right and left hand turns, merging, proper space management and safety techniques that will drive them for the years to come.
